Supercross is a sport that involves racing dirt bikes fully equipped with an engine, suspension and more! These races are usually held within football or baseball stadiums throughtout the year. This event began when Motocross racing promoter Michael Goodwin decided to stage the “Super Bowl of Motocross” at the Los Angeles Coliseum in California during the early 70’s. The event was won by Marty Tripes (just 16 at the time).
It became so huge so fast that Motorcycle associations decided to hold an event every year. The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) decided to hold the event, thus dubbing it the AMA Supercross.
This is currently the second most popular form of motor-racing in the United States, with NASCAR being the first. Be there for all the qualifying events that lead up to the finals for each category.
